OUR SERVICES

At Lisburn Dog Groomers, we offer professional grooming services tailored to your dog’s breed, coat type, lifestyle, and individual needs.

Whether your dog visits regularly for maintenance grooming or simply needs a freshen up, our aim is always to create a calm, positive grooming experience while keeping coats healthy, comfortable, and manageable.

Bath, Clip & Style

Our Bath, Clip & Style service includes everything needed to leave your dog looking and feeling their best.

A Bath, Clip & Style may include:

  • Consultation and coat assessment

  • Warm bath using professional shampoos

  • Blow dry and coat preparation

  • Clipping and Styling as discussed

  • Nail trimming

  • Ear cleaning

  • Paw tidy and hygiene trimming

  • Finishing spray and final check

  • Suitable for all breeds requiring clipping & styling

Every groom is tailored to suit your dog’s coat condition, temperament, and lifestyle.

Our Recommendation: For Curly or Wavy Coated dogs we recommend a Bath, Clip & Style every 4-8 weeks to avoid painful matting, for other coat types we recommend 6-10 weeks and for shorter styles we recommend leaving no more than 12 weeks between appointments to keep the skin & coat healthy.

Bath & Blow Dry

Perfect for dogs who don’t require clipping but would benefit from a thorough bath, blow dry, and tidy-up between full grooming appointments.

Ideal for:

  • In-between maintenance appointments

  • Freshening up after muddy adventures

  • Suitable for non shedding breeds to keep coats clean and tangle free

Our Recommendation: For Dogs kept in Teddy Bear or longer styles we may recommend Bath & Blowdrys in between Bath, Clip & Style Appointments for coat maintenance.

Puppy Introductions

A puppy’s introduction to grooming is incredibly important, and we aim to make it as calm and positive as possible. Puppy Grooms start from the time their vaccines are complete and the sooner we start this process the more confident your puppy will be with the whole grooming process throughout their life.

Our puppy introductions are designed to gently familiarise young dogs with:

  • Bathing

  • Drying

  • Brushing

  • Handling

  • Clippers and grooming equipment

  • The salon environment

We always work at your puppy’s pace to help build confidence and trust for future appointments so it may require several introductions before your puppy is confident enough for a Full Groom.

Our Recommendation: Start introducing your puppy to the grooming salon as early as possible, puppy introductions may be required as often as every 2 weeks initially to build a bond with their groomer and to establish a routine and gain confidence.

Bath, Dry & Deshed

For heavy-shedding and double-coated breeds, regular coat maintenance can make a huge difference to comfort, skin health, and shedding at home.

This service helps remove loose undercoat while keeping the coat healthy and breathable.

Suitable for breeds such as:

  • Huskies

  • Retrievers

  • Shepherds

  • Spaniels

  • Many crossbreeds

Our Recommendation: For indoor dogs we recommend professional grooming as often as every 4-6 weeks to help manage the tumbleweeds at home. For outdoor dogs we recommend a professional groom at least 2-3 times per year when the coat is blown, to keep skin and coats healthy.

Nail Trimming

Regular nail maintenance helps keep dogs comfortable and supports healthy movement and posture.

Nail trims can often be booked separately between grooming appointments if required.

Hand Stripping, Bath & Style

Traditional hand stripping for suitable wire-coated breeds to help maintain coat texture, colour, and condition.

Please note that hand stripping suitability depends on coat type and coat condition and spayed/neutered dogs will often require clipping as they age due to the lack of hormones affecting coat texture and ability to strip.

Our Recommendation: Most handstrip breeds will require stripping every 4-6 months, depending on coat growth, we are happy to discuss requirements during your appointment.

Tailored Grooming

We understand every dog is different. Age, temperament, coat condition, and previous grooming experiences all play a part in how appointments are approached.

Our focus is always on:

  • Patient handling

  • Realistic grooming expectations

  • Coat health and comfort

  • Reducing stress where possible

  • Building trust over time

Regular Grooming Plans

Regular grooming appointments help maintain coat condition and keep dogs comfortable year-round.

Many of our clients choose to pre-book regular appointments to:

  • Maintain a consistent grooming routine

  • Keep coats manageable

  • Avoid matting and discomfort

  • Secure preferred appointment times

Our team are always happy to recommend a grooming schedule suitable for your dog’s breed and coat type. Our Clients on a regular grooming plan benefit from our best pricing.
