Puppy Experience

If you have welcomed a new puppy into your family recently, consider signing up for our Puppy Package! Puppies can sometimes be wary of new environments, and a grooming salon will certainly be unfamiliar to them. The sights, sounds and smells your pup will experience during a standard groom can be overwhelming to a puppy, and lead to an aversion to the process as an adult if not managed in a compassionate and patient way. We help take your pup through a gentle familiarisation of the grooming environment over four fortnightly sessions. Together, we will support your pup so grooming is a thing to be enjoyed, rather than afraid of.

We give puppies extra special treatment

Simply put, puppies are brand new. Grooming salons can be noisy, busy places sometimes, and while adult dogs are used to it, your puppy may be experiencing a number of different sights, sounds, smells and sensations – all for the first time.

So our Puppy Package is all about gentle exposure to these new experiences:

The sights, smells and sounds of other animals in the salon
The sensation of water on their bodies
The experience of having their feet and ears touched by a new person
Desensitisation

We don’t want your puppy to be afraid of us (because we’re lovely) so our gentle familiarisation package guides them tenderly through it, building new experiences on at each visit.

First Visit

Our team is dedicated to providing the best possible experience for your furry friend. During this first handling session, we take extra care to ensure your pet feels comfortable and safe. We also offer desensitization to noise to help your pet feel more at ease during their visit. And of course, we always make time for playtime to keep your pet happy and healthy.

Second Visit

In addition to everything included in Session 1, we'll give your pup a full brush and comb from nose to tail with a splash of perfume. Your pup will leave feeling and looking their best after another play session to create a strong bond between your pup and our team of groomers.

Third Visit

In session three we combine everything your puppy has learnt and experienced in sessions one and two but also add in a bath and blow dry, this slow and structured introduction to grooming is exactly what a puppy needs to become confident and happy with the grooming process at home and in the salon.

Fourth Visit

Session 4 is the final part of our Puppy Experience, at this stage most puppies are confident enough to have a full groom which we carry out to your requirements. Occasionally some puppies may require a few extra sessions before their full groom and this will be discussed prior to completing this session.

Take Home Puppy Pack

Our Puppy Pack is for each puppy to take home on their first visit, this pack includes grooming tools suitable for your puppies coat type, a natural Shampoo, Conditioner & Perfume, A Puppy Toy and Training Treats. We have also included information on our Puppy Experience, A Basic Training Guide and A Grooming Guide for Puppies.
