Emma is the Business Owner and Head Stylist at Lisburn Dog Groomers. She started in the industry at 16 years old gaining work experience for her Level 3 Diploma in Animal Management and from here started a Saturday job at another local Dog Groomers.
It was here that she decided she enjoyed the creativity Dog Grooming had to offer and continued working in the groomers for a couple of years before enrolling onto a Professional Grooming Course at Dashin Hounds in Dundonald.
In 2010 Emma opened her own Salon , starting at the back of her house in a portacabin the business was originally named 'Pawsitively Clean' but this proved hard to pronounce as it was a bit of a tongue twister so the business was renamed Lisburn Dog Groomers a few years later to keep things simple.
Emma sat her Level City & Guilds exams in 2013 and completed the practical assessments for her Diploma Qualification in 2014 and has been fully qualified from February 2015.
In 2015 Emma moved out of the Portacabin and into the Salon in Ballymacash where she currently employs 2 full time and 1 part time member of staff.
Outside of work Emma races Sidecar Motocross and breeds/shows a small herd of pure bred/pedigree pygmy goats.

Leah came to Lisburn Dog Groomers as a quiet young schoolgirl for work experience in 2013, it was here that Leah's potential was recognized by Emma through her willingness to work and her love for animals showed through her ability to handle and connect with the dogs on a daily basis.
Leah was offered a Part Time position after her work experience ceased which she kept throughout her remaining years in School whilst studying for her A Levels.
Leah was trained the basics of bathing blow drying and mini grooms, but Emma knew she was capable of much more and when she left school in 2016 , Emma trained Leah to Level 3 standard to complete full grooms and all aspects of Dog Grooming.
In 2017 Leah moved to Australia where she groomed for 6 months before she returned to Lisburn Dog Groomers in April 2018 taking up the Supervisor Role and assisting Emma with the new trainees and running of the business.

Reese has spent as long as she remember surrounded by animals, all different shapes and sizes, thus the reason why she has developed such a long held love for them. She grew up with many family pets over the years, including a collie dog, two jack Russell’s and the newest member of the family our beloved German Shepherd Marco. In her spare time she enjoys caring for her dogs by grooming them, taking them to different dog parks and letting them run the fields around her area.
As she got older her she didn't lose her passion for animals so while studying at school she volunteered at Carryduff Boarding Kennels and continues to do so until present. In this role she was trusted to care for people’s animals while they where on holiday, which lead to her house-sitting with peoples animals while they traveled.
Her passion for animals lead her to another hobby, horse riding. Aside from work she likes to spend her time with her horses Smithy and Fred and at the weekend she takes part in events across the country. To pursue this interest further she studied horse management and safety courses with the pony club, while teaching children all about these amazing animals and how to ride them. As well as dogs and cats, her love for horses led her to look after them for people who where going on holiday or travelling for lengthy periods.
