OUR TEAM

Lisburn Dog Groomers is dedicated to providing you with not only the highest quality but also a competitively priced Dog Grooming Service. In order to continue to provide only the Highest Quality Service we can, all our Staff are trained in house by Business Owner & Head Stylist Emma Moulds, who has been in the Industry for 10+ Years.

Emma has decided this is the only way to maintain the good reputation Lisburn Dog Groomers has gained over the years and all staff undergo 12 weeks of intensive training under Emma's Guidance and watchful eye which is 3-5 times longer than the training provided by Grooming Schools across the country.

All the Staff are thoroughly vetted before training commences to ensure suitability for the role , they learn everything they need to know from Emma in order to qualify to a Level 3 Standard and groom your pets to Emma's personal high standard.

There are 2 recognized level 3 Dog Grooming Diploma Qualifications - City & Guilds and OCN. All Staff will be fully trained to level 3 standard and within a year of training ; sit their exams/complete assignments so they are all qualified.

Emma is the Business Owner / Director at Lisburn Dog Groomers Ltd. She started in the industry at 16 years old gaining work experience for her Level 3 Diploma in Animal Management and from here started a Saturday job at another local Dog Groomers.

It was here that she decided she enjoyed the creativity Dog Grooming had to offer and continued working in the groomers for a couple of years before enrolling onto a Professional Grooming Course at Dashin Hounds in Dundonald.

In 2010 Emma opened her own Salon , starting at the back of her house in a portacabin the business was originally named 'Pawsitively Clean' but this proved hard to pronounce as it was a bit of a tongue twister so the business was renamed Lisburn Dog Groomers a few years later to keep things simple.

Emma sat her Level City & Guilds exams in 2013 and completed the practical assessments for her Diploma Qualification in 2014 and has been fully qualified from February 2015.

In 2015 Emma moved out of the Portacabin and into the Salon in Ballymacash where she currently employs 2 full time and 1 part time member of staff. In 2020 Emma opened For Petz NI and currently manages the pet store as part of the business.

Leah came to Lisburn Dog Groomers as a quiet young schoolgirl for work experience in 2013, it was here that Leah's potential was recognized by Emma through her willingness to work and her love for animals showed through her ability to handle and connect with the dogs on a daily basis.

Leah was offered a Part Time position after her work experience ceased which she kept throughout her remaining years in School whilst studying for her A Levels.

Leah was trained the basics of bathing blow drying and mini grooms, but Emma knew she was capable of much more and when she left school in 2016 , Emma trained Leah to Level 3 standard to complete full grooms and all aspects of Dog Grooming.

In 2017 Leah moved to Australia where she groomed for 6 months before she returned to Lisburn Dog Groomers in April 2018 taking up the Supervisor Role and assisting Emma with the new trainees and running of the business.

Leah Brady - Salon Manager & Head Stylist

Anna grew up on a farm and has always been surrounded by animals , she has two dogs, a labrador called Maisie and a Border Collie called Dexter. In her free time she loves taking them for walks and trips to the beach where they can enjoy swimming in the sea.

She has always had an interest in a variety of animals which has led her to getting pigs and donkeys as pets, she enjoys horse riding and competes in competitions within the horse riding school she attends.

With a love for animals it only made sense for Anna to attend college to complete a Level 3 Animal Management Course, during her time on the course she enjoyed gaining experience within the animal industry and completed work placement at Lisburn Dog Groomers, starting out bathing and drying during her days here.

It was clear within a few months that Anna had the skills required to become a stylist and was offered a trainee position, she is now fully trained by Emma & Leah and will be undertaking her exams in due course.

Jenny joined our Team in 2014, with her love for animals she was very excited to begin her career in dog grooming, she started on her 12 week course and was a quick learner improving week by week and loving every minute of it.

In the grooming salon Jenny has a great soft spot for all her wee fur friends, she has a great way and lots of patience for even the most wriggly clients. She enjoys seeing them come in and building a unique bond with each of them. She loves to pamper them making them handsome and pretty but most importantly happy.

In 2017 Jenny went on maternity to have her son, and after spending some quality time with her young family she is excited to be back where she left off, to do what she loves and see all her old doggy friends and make some new ones also.

All in all Jenny has a great time working at Lisburn Dog Groomers!
